5th Annual International Print Making Exhibition at Dubai Design District, by Shaghaf Group.

The experience of printmaking is an exciting one, although it is interspersed with tranquility and concentration. When you carefully plant the carving tool, in the flesh of the linoleum, and turn it gently once, and push slightly harder another time, fingers conducting the wheel of pattern: grooves, protrusions, and curves on the carved surface, contain surprises that appear visible once wiped with ink. Even more surprises when printed upon paper. Some subdued and receding, while others solid and prominent. Either way, the result is fascinating, whether repeated exactly or slightly different.

I was glad to participate in Shaghaf’s 5th International Print Making Exhibition & Glow. Also, Shaghaf’s Group International Print Making Exchange, to exchange beautiful prints with amazing artists, whom carved out time & passion, leaving an eternal print in each other’s grasp.

I would like to thank all colleagues, whom presented useful workshops, teaching us something new.

تجربة الطباعة، تجربة مثيرة، على الرغم من الهدوء والتركيز الذي يتخللها. عندما تكون حذراً وانت تغرس أداة الحفر في لحمة اللينوليوم, تارة برفق, وتارة تضغط اقوى قليلاً ,الأصابع تقود دفة الزخرف: الأخاديد, البروزات والانحناءات على السطح المحفور, تحتوي بين طياتها مفاجآت, فتبدو التصاميم للعيان حينما يمسح بالحبر عليها ومفاجآت أخرى حين تطبع على الورق, فمكان يكون خافت وباهت ومكان آخر يكون غامق وبارز, ومهما كانت النتيجة فهي مبهرة, سواء كررت او تغيرت بشكل طفيف

أسعدتني المشاركة في معرض شغف الدولي الخامس للطباعة، وكذلك تبادل المطبوعات الجميلة لفنانين رائعين، قاموا باستقطاع الوقت والشغف، تاركين بصمات أبدية في قبضة بعضهم البعض، من خلال مجموعة شغف الدولية لتبادل الطباعة. وأود ان اشكر جميع الزميلات لتقديم ورشات مفيدة تعلمنا فيها شيئاً جديداً
